Oregon Grape Holly Colorado

Oregon grape holly is a semi evergreen upright to oval shrub maturing at 4 to 5 feet high and 3 feet wide with tendency to sucker. It is an evergreen shrub growing to 1 m 3 ft tall by 1 5 m 5 ft wide with pinnate leaves consisting of spiny leaflets and dense clusters of yellow flowers in early spring followed by dark bluish black berries.

Oregon grape holly mahonia aquifolium is a handsome 3 to 6 foot ornamental shrub that can play a number of roles in the garden. Mahonia aquifolium is knownby many different common names including oregon grape hollygrape or grapeholly. The slightly fragrant flowers are the state flower of oregon.
